Heat Advisory issued May 26 at 2:01PM CDT until May 27 at 8:00PM CDT by NWS Corpus Christi TX * WHAT...Heat index values up to 114. * WHERE...Victoria Crossroads and portion of the inland Coastal Plains * WHEN...Until 8 PM CDT Monday. * IMPACTS...Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat illnesses. Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors. Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat stroke. Do not leave young children and pets in unattended vehicles. Car interiors will reach lethal temperatures in a matter of minutes.
