Air Quality Alert issued May 17 at 2:05PM CDT by NWS Austin/San Antonio TX AQAEWX The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) has issued an Ozone Action Day for the San Antonio area for Saturday, May 18, 2024. Atmospheric conditions are expected to be favorable for producing high levels of ozone air pollution in the San Antonio area on Saturday. You can help prevent ozone pollution by sharing a ride, walking or riding a bicycle, taking your lunch to work, avoiding drive through lanes, conserving energy, and keeping your vehicle properly tuned. If required, the next Ozone Action Day will be issued by 3 PM on Saturday, May 18, 2024.

Special Weather Statement issued May 18 at 6:44AM CDT by NWS Austin/San Antonio TX Patchy dense fog has developed early this morning and was reducing visibility to 1/4 mile or less in some spots. If you encounter dense fog while driving, slow down and leave plenty of distance between you and the vehicle in front of you. Fog should gradually dissipate after 9 AM.
