For the Navasota River...including Normangee...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Navasota River near Normangee. * WHEN...Until early Thursday afternoon. * IMPACTS...At 15.0 feet, Minor lowland flooding begins as water escapes the main channel and inundates the flood plain. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 9:00 PM CDT Tuesday the stage was 15.7 feet. - Bankfull stage is 12.0 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 9:00 PM CDT Tuesday was 15.9 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 15.7 feet late this evening.
