High Wind Warning issued June 16 at 8:16AM PDT until June 16 at 11:00AM PDT by NWS Los Angeles/Oxnard CA * WHAT...For the High Wind Warning, north winds 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 60 mph. For the Heat Advisory, high temperatures in the mid 80s to mid 90s, warmest in the foothills and coastal areas west of Santa Barbara. * WHERE...Santa Barbara County Southeastern Coast and Santa Ynez Mountains Eastern Range. * WHEN...For the High Wind Warning, until 11 AM PDT this morning. For the Heat Advisory, until 8 PM PDT this evening. * IMPACTS...Damaging winds could blow down trees and power lines. Power outages are possible. Travel will be difficult, especially for drivers of high profile vehicles. High temperatures may cause heat illnesses, including heat stroke. In very windy conditions, watch for falling debris and tree limbs. Use extra caution if you must drive. In the heat, drink plenty of non-alcoholic fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room if possible, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors. Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat stroke. Anyone overcome by heat should be moved to a cool and shaded location. Heat stroke is an emergency! Call 9 1 1. Monitor the latest forecasts and warnings for updates.
