Heat Advisory issued June 6 at 6:50PM PDT until June 7 at 8:00PM PDT by NWS Reno NV * WHAT...High temperatures of 95 to 100 degrees again Friday in lower elevation communities including Fernley, Fallon and Lovelock. * WHERE...Western Nevada Basin and Range including Pyramid Lake. * WHEN...Until 8 PM PDT Friday. * IMPACTS...Hot temperatures and sunny skies may cause heat illnesses to occur, especially for those sensitive to heat and outdoors for extended periods of time. Since this is the first heat event early in the summer season, many people are not yet acclimated to heat and may be impacted more than normal. Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors. Young children and pets should never be left unattended in vehicles under any circumstances.
