Flood Advisory issued June 17 at 5:24AM EDT until June 17 at 1:15PM EDT by NWS Grand Rapids MI * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of south central Michigan, including the following counties, Clinton and Ingham. * WHEN...Until 115 PM EDT Monday. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 522 AM EDT, Radar and automated rain gauges indicated heavy rain. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. - Automated gauges in the area show 2 to 4 inches of rain has fallen. Additional rain is expected through 800 am EDT. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Lansing, East Lansing, Capital Region International Airport, Edgemont Park, DeWitt, Okemos, Bath, Haslett and Holt. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.

Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.
